This new version
brings several improvements and new tools for a more friendly use.
NEW FEATURES
A new column-displaying mode for settings has been added in this release.
This new mode includes the graph and settings in the same window.

The user can switch easily from the flow-chart mode to the column mode
with a button. The column mode offers the possibility of adding sequences in
the technique and to link techniques as in the flow chart mode.
- Impedance data analysis with ZFit
Zfit tool has been improved to allow EIS data analysis on
successive cycles. For each cycle, Zfit calculates the equivalent circuit
parameter values and store them in a new data file. These parameters are
automatically displayed in a second graph versus the desired variable.

The user can select the cycle he wants to be used for randomisation (the
first one only or every cycle).
- Pseudo-capacitance calculation
A pseudo capacitance value Ci is determined for all the the sub-circuits
(Ri/Qi).
IMPROVEMENTS
- The CPT technique has been activated for the VMP3 and VSP instruments.
New thermostatic bathes have been interfaced in the “External Device” window.
These bathes can be controlled by the potential analog output of our
potentiostats.
- In ZFit, the standard deviation is now displayed with the Simplex
algorithm minimization method.
- ZFit can now be performed in a different representation from Nyquist
diagram such as Bode plot.
- Text data files from other manufacturer can be directly loaded in EC-Lab
software in the “Experiment\Load data file” menu by selecting the
file type.
- The user can plot Ewe vs log|I| and do the Tafel fit into this
representation

- A new Plot menu as been added in the Graph main menu and
on the graph right click to select a predefined representations (E vs. t, I
vs. t...) and to open the selector window.

- For EIS data files, the ΔPhase(Z) and
ΔPhase(Y) unit has been changed from percent to
degree (Zfit and Kramers-Kronig).
- EC-Lab can import FC-Lab software data file for analysis.
- Added a menu (and button) to remove directly a trace from the graph,
without having to use the selector.
Error corrections:
- The graphic process 1/sqrt() was not working properly.
- The Ecorr calculus was not correct in the corrosimetry technique.
- IRange and Bandwidth parameters were locked in the Chronopotentiometry
technique. They are now unlocked.
- The 'Set' label was not always properly updated into the Wait
technique.
- It was not possible to remove empty lines for the Wait technique.
- The Estep value was not calculated properly in the DNPV technique.
- The current autorange has been deactivated for the pulsed techniques.
- For the DigiElch text exportation, the current sign was not adapted to
the positive reduction convention.
- In the Square Wave technique : the current of the first point was not
properly measured.
- The text exportation was not working properly for the admittance
variables in EIS data files.
- The “Group” option was not working properly in specific cases.
- The text exportation of the admittance variables was not working
properly.
- Reloading settings on a stopped channel with non empty buffers (yellow
Led) was blocking the channel with no possibility to retrieve the data (the
only one solution was to reset the channel).
