The new Potentiostat – Galvanostat model PG581 from Uniscan Instruments heralds the next chapter in the development of portable electrochemistry and corrosion instrumentation.
The instrument is a compact and powerful hand-held potentiostat – galvanostat with remarkable performance and is at home either in the laboratory or as a user configurable instrument for field use. The design of the PG581 makes it ideally suited for the in field development of electrochemical sensor technologies, and as a cost effective portable electrochemical and corrosion analyzer.
The PG581 potentiostat – galvanostat is connected to a PC via its USB port in the laboratory for electrochemical experiments such as cyclic voltammetry, chronoamperometry and square wave voltammetry with unsurpassed ultra low noise performance. In addition you can now upload those same techniques directly to the PG581 to collect data in the field without a computer.
The PG581 also provides support for the routine electrochemical corrosion techniques such a LRP, Tafel and Potentiodynamic Polarisation in the laboratory or in the field.
The SP-50 is an economical, value oriented potentiostat/galvanostat designed to address applications in general electrochemistry and corrosion.
Contained in a simple, compact chassis, the SP-50 is a fixed configuration unit with no option. It is targeted for new researchers in the field of electrochemistry and an ideal instrument for teaching and education. It offers good performance with a small price tag.
The SP-50 is supplied with EC-Lab® software package.
The SP-150 is a full featured economical research grade potentiostat. With its modular chassis, this instrument can be customized to address all applications in the area of classical electrochemistry.
The SP-150 potentiostat configuration can be selected at purchase to include an EIS-capable potentiostat, and a low current option (1 nA full scale range).
It can also be connected to external high current boosters (2, 5, 10, 20, 80 and 100 A).
The SP-150 is supplied with EC-Lab® software package.
SP-200 is the newest, research grade, value-oriented potentiostat/galvanostat in the Bio-Logic product range.
With excellent specifications in a portable chassis, the SP-200 is the perfect instrument for any application in electrochemistry especially in corrosion.
The SP-200 offers outstanding features such as a floating mode, analog filtering, a built-in calibration board, and 9 stability bandwidths for a better control of the cell. Additionally, the SP-200 can be purchased with a standard DC potentiostat or an EIS capable one. There is also an Ultra Low Current (ULC) option.

SP-300 is a state-of-the-art modular research grade potentiostat/galvanostat/FRA with remarkable specifications. The SP-300 chassis offers two slots. The first one is used by a potentiostat. The second one remains available for an option such as an additional potentiostat board (either standard or EIS) to reach a bipotentiostat configuration. It is also a multiple user system as the two channel boards can be used independently by two different users.
A booster kit can also be selected in our range of four internal boosters (1, 2, 4, 10 A) and plugged in the second slot.
The base specifications are the same for both the SP-300 and the SP-200 including floating mode, analog filtering, built-in calibration board, and stability bandwidths. ES capability can be added as an option. The built-in FRA has a frequency range of 10 µHz up to 7 MHz.

Multi Potentiostats / Galvanostats / EIS
The Uniscan BiStat 3200 is a high quality, digital scanning bipotentiostat – bigalvanostat system for demanding research applications with true 2-channel measurement capability. Its small footprint allows it to be used in a variety of applications and environments where space is at a premium.
The BiStat 3200 operates as two independent isolated instruments or as a bi-potentiostat or bi-galvanostat. The instrument may be operated from its front panel using the dual keypads and LCD displays or connected to a Windows™ based personal computer and used with the UiEChem™ or UiECorr™ software.
When connected to a personal computer the instrument is supported by the UiEChem™ and UiECorr™ software applications for electrochemistry and corrosion research respectively. The instrument may also be controlled from third party programming environments such as Visual Basic, Labview etc. using the optional ActiveX control interface.Read more
The VSP is a research grade potentiostat system in a 5-channel modular chassis. This allows the VSP to add additional capability in the way of plug-in “modules”.
These modules provide EIS capability (included on the potentiostat board), low current measurement (uses 1 additional slot), 4 A current booster (two slots) and additional potentiostat channels (each one takes one slot).
The internal 4A option takes two slots in the VSP chassis and requires a potentiostat board to be used with it. External boosters from 2 A up to 100 A can be used with each channel in the VSP.Read more
VSP-300 is a state-of-the-art research grade potentiostat/galvanostat/FRA with remarkable specifications.
It is the newest benchmark in the Bio-Logic product range.
Designed upon Bio-Logic’s long history of flexible and modular potentiostat, the VSP-300 incorporates the latest technology to ensure excellent performance.
The VSP-300 multichannel potentiostat/galvanostat is a versatile instrument offering 6 slots to set from 1 to 6 channel boards.
Each channel board can accomodate an ultra low current cable and can be associated with one or several booster kits.
Four booster kits are available: ±10 A/ [0;5] V, ±4 A/ [-3;14] V, ±2 A/ ±30 V and ±1 A/±48 V.
Up to four similar boosters can be plugged in parallel in one VSP-300 chassis. The instrument can reach up to 40 A.
Each channel board can be equipped with a linear scan generator. Not only a multichannel system, this instrument can be controlled independently by several users thanks to the LAN connection.Read more
The SensorSTAT is aimed at the important electrochemical sensor marketplace. It will be used at all stages of sensor development from the initial fundamental research through the pre-production investigations to the production stage where routine batch testing takes place.
The product is supported by a range of accessories aimed at the electrochemical sensor applications. It includes a multiplexing cable, dedicated cables and connected for commonly available commercially produced sensors and a flow cell for rapid chemical analysis.
The SensorSTAT is supplied with the latest version of the UiEChem™ Research Electrochemistry software package. This versatile package has a comprehensive selection of electrochemical techniques coupled with an easy to use interface.
This version also features a Peak Analysis routine which is easy to use but utilises sophisticated routines and algorithms to provide a comprehensive data analysis package. The routines are accessible from the main software package and do not require the data to be exported. The VMP3 is a research-grade multi-channel potentiostat.
With its modular chassis design, up to 16 independent potentiostat channels can be installed. The VMP3 can be equipped with additional capabilities, including low current measurement, impedance and high current via plug-in modules.
Each potentiostat installed in the VMP3 can be connected to an external high current booster channel, making it ideal for battery studies.
Not only a multi-channel system, the VMP3 is a multiple user unit. Thanks to the Ethernet LAN connection capability, up to 16 users can be connected to the unit at the same time.Read more
VMP-300 is a high-end research grade and fully flexible multipotentiostat.
It is the most modular chassis of our product range offering 16 slots for potentiostats/galvanostats/FRA boards and/or booster boards.
The channel and booster boards can be combined in the chassis either to have many channels or to reach high currents. As a multichannel workstation, each channel is completely independent from the others making the unit a multi-users workstation. The VMP-300 is supplied with a built-in calibration board in an additional slot.
The chassis can accommodate booster kits that can be selected in our extended range (1 A, 2 A, 4 A, 10 A). These current boosters can be connected in parallel to reach high current level such as 150 A with 15 boosters of 10 A.
Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS) measurements can be added as an option to the VMP-300. Low current sensitivity can be improved using the Ultra Low Current option (down to 1 pA range with 76 aA resolution). This option may be added on each of the 16 channels.Read more
Several MEA adaptors are offered to fit most of the commercial MEA geometries. The MEA connection is designed to be modular, so it can be modified in agreement with customized MEA shapes. The connection of MP-MEA to a true potentiostat/galvanostat/ EIS analyzer (SP-200/SP-300) allows the user to perform measurements with a 3-electrode set-up i.e with up to 256 working, one reference and one counter electrode. High Current Potentiostats / Galvanostats / EIS
The HCP-803 is a high current potentiostat capable of producing 80 A with a voltage range of ±3 V.
It is primarily designed for applications in the fuel cell and supercapacitor areas. It is a combination of a research quality potentiostat and an 80 A booster built into the same chassis.
The potentiostat has the same specifications as the VMP3 potentiostat boards (with EIS option) when not connected to the booster portion of the unit.
The HCP-1005 is a compact high current potentiostat/galvanostat/FRA specially designed to study secondary batteries with a high capacity. With a voltage range of 0.6 to 5 V and a current range of ±100 A, this unit can be used to test industrial Li-ion battery modules. The EIS capability integrated in the chassis is ideal for ageing tests. The HCP-1005 structure is similar to the HCP-803. It is a combination of a research potentiostat and a 100 A booster built into the same chassis.Read more
The CLB-500 controlled electronic load box is specially designed for the latest research on devices delivering energy from renewable sources such as fuel cells and photovoltaic systems. The CLB-500 couples an electronic load with an EIS capable potentiostat in the same compact chassis. This controlled electronic load handles up to a 500 W load at 50 A/10 V.Read more
The CLB-2000 Controlled Load Box is a stand-alone compact electronic load bank of 2000 W (150 A / 50 V) controlled by an integrated potentiostat/galvanostat. The CLB-2000 is capable of EIS measurements thanks to its integrated FRA (from 10 µHz to 10 kHz).
The 50 V voltage range is a new feature to test stacks of energy devices. In addition to this voltage range, a new accessory has been developed: the SAM-50. Connected to a VMP3 multichannel system, SAM-50 enlarges the VMP3 voltage range to 50 V on each channel. All the elements of the stack can be tested simultaneously.
LB-2000 is the slave load box. Comparable to our booster range, the LB-2000 is an external additional box that can be coupled to the other potentiostats/galvanostats of the range: SP-150, VSP, VMP2, VMP3. The LB-2000 can be added to an existing system in your lab.Read more
Current boosters for SP-150/VSP/VMP3
Each of our modular multi-potentiostat units and the SP-150 can be interfaced to a separate current booster unit. These modular booster units can have different booster modules placed inside them (2, 5, 10, or 20 A). In the standard booster chassis there are 8 available booster slots and the current limit is 20 A. Each booster channel is connected to a single potentiostat channel.
There is also an 80 or 100 A booster unit.
4 A booster kit can be directly inserted in the VSP chassis.

Current boosters for SP/VSP/VMP-300
The SP/VSP/VMP-300 are our latest state-of-the-art modular research grade potentiostat/galvanostat/FRA with outstanding specifications. With the chassis being modular, any of the sixteen slots are available for either potentiostat boards or voltage and current booster modules. Each booster has its own specifications and is targeted at application areas which include Batteries/Fuel cells, Photovoltaic/Solar and Electrolysis.
The available booster options are ±1 A/±48 V, ±2 A/±30 V, ±4 A/[-3;14] V, ±10 A/[0;5] V. The first option (1 A/48 V) can be used only as a single booster but the other three can be placed in series to increase the maximum current of a particular channel. Note that the different booster models can not be mixed in series together to increase both the voltage and the current. For example in the VSP-300 and VMP-300 chassis offering numerous slots, up to 5 booster modules (in the VSP-300) and 15 booster modules (in the VMP-300) can be put in series. The maximum current in the VMP-300 can reach 150 A.
The instrument configuration can be easily changed as needed on-site by the end-user. The instrument does not need to be sent back to the factory to be upgraded thanks to the plug and play capability of the booster modules.
The EC-Lab® control software package will automatically and immediately detect the new configuration.
Fuel cell test stations
The FCT-150S and FCT-50S are compact fuel cell test stations designed for PEMFC testing. Based on feedback from our customers, they are designed to be the most flexible test stations on the market.
The compact chassis integrates a programmable electronic load (250 W), gas and water control circuitry (flow, pressure and temperature) and data acquisition. The electronic load uses state-of-the-art technology and is capable of reaching very low voltage levels (virtually 0 V) at 150 A (for FCT-150S) and 50 A (for FCT-50S).
A number of safety features have been incorporated in the hardware and software. To conduct long-term experiments, such as fuel cell ageing, Bio-Logic has developed an automated humidifier, water filling and condenser water purging, all managed by FC-Lab control software.Read more
